Oxford Tour Visit – February 2009

Year 12 visited ex-Hayesfield pupil Louisa Chorley at University College, Oxford where she is now reading Physics. They also compared the beautiful buildings of University with the modern architectural design statement of St. Catherine’s College, constructed in the 1970s and ended our tour at the grandeur of St. John’s.

Feedback from the potential Oxbridge candidates on the day of University sites, sights and tea shops included:
“ unforgettable”; “ a pilgrimage to make for any academically – minded pupil – the architecture, libraries and bookshops are great”. Also “ I can’t go on..” ( about the size of the chocolate cake in the Nosebag tearoom).
Next stop is the Bath Oxbridge Conference on 23rd March.
